Barn Contractors This is a listing of businesses that specialize in barns, particularly barn repair. In addition, this section contains a listing of contractors who offer barn services. This list is divided by state or province. As the list grows, you may want to consider contractors in adjacent states as well as your own. There are a variety of approaches to restoring barns and you are encouraged to contract several firms before making any final decisions on a rehabilitation or choice of contractor. Please refer to Barn Ads for complete barns and barn materials available for recycling. The Barn Journal is committed to developing a comprehensive list of contractors in all states that have a significant stock of period barns. If you would like to be listed, or if you are aware of a list of barn contractors at your state university, state preservation department, etc. please contact the editor at editor@thebarnjournal.org with the relevant information, using the numerical system below to indicate expertise. Thank you! Note: This information is provided free of charge as a service to our readers. There is no endorsement implied or intended for any contractor listed here. As in any business decision the purchaser is well-advised to use due prudence before agreeing to any contract. Research and investigation at the beginning of your project will be amply rewarded in quality of the result and a good return on your expenditures. You may also want to see www.traditional-building.com to subscribe to Traditional Building magazine, which carries a section on traditional and modern barn contractors and supplies.
